Well only three of us found the bar that was open last night then! Ulysses – I hope you managed to get a lift home. As we said last night if you need a lift in the future, just pop round to No. 71 about 30 minutes before kick-off
We were a bit concerned to see an ambulance turn up at goals last night – thought it might have been for Paul for a few seconds. I hope you’re not feeling too groggy today.
So, the new manager is me. I run a tight ship, but I think you’ll find me firm but fair.
Usual drill applies – all those who want to play to post on the forum by lunchtime Monday and I’ll book the pitch during the afternoon.
Given that Biscuitman has the bibs then perhaps an 8.30 start is wise rather than the slightly shambolic start we had last night without bibs? Let me know if an 8.30 start is OK. If you need an incentive to agree to play later, if the consensus is that it is too late then I will have to arrange to pick up the lovely yellow road-menders gilets from ALIB for us to wear.
Good to have a new player last night – Chrelcombe, I hope we will see you again.

Thanks Marathon for the offer of a lift going forward. It'd be good to have options in case parklife gets struck down with the lurgee. I got a lift back with Nick.
So, the King is dead long live the King eh?
On the point of the bibs why don't I pick them up from you biscuitman1978 one evening (if that's convenient for you) and then we can play at 8.00*?
It's a shame for you to only get a 1/2hour but come the 30minute mark some of us are glad of a fresh-legged player.
* Of course, I defer to the new gaffer here.

I have a set of bibs so will bring them with me next week and going forwards. If anyone ever needs a lift PM me - I'm on Silverdale or can pick up enroute.

Yep, fully intending to play again - really enjoyed the game, thanks. Can't make next week though, sadly - I'll be in New York (boo hoo).

I'm in - just rallying the troops. Looks like we need another 2 (not including me) for it to be a goer.
I'll have (hopefully) a couple more names before lunchtime.

I'm in. Been a while since I played - what's the price and meeting time these days?

I've got 3 more, so that looks like a nice round 10 to me. It's 6 quid and 8pm, usual place Chazza unless Marathon can't book the pitch - in which case occasionally, we play at 8.30.

Paul is also available

He's a sucker for punishment. Like Marathon says, thought I'd killed him last week when that ambulance rocked up.

Welcome back to the fold, chazza.
Pitch booked for 8pm on the 11th.
If for some reason I’m not at Goals by 1955 (and this applies for all future games) the pitch is paid for and booked under my name, Saul Fowler.
See you on Wednesday.

Are you sure we cannot tempt you AliB?
With a name like that Marathon who could forget? Certainly no self-respecting Liverpool fan!

Hi Marathon
Sorry about late post.
I've recovered and nick and I are on for wednesday.
Ulysses - I am working late wednesday , so may have to go straight to the ground. You may be safer getting a lift with marathon

Yes I know I've made a habit of late responses but this time I really didn't have access to a computer yesterday morning when I was planning to reply. I have a bit of a back injury from weekend footie so if you have enough players (which it apppears you do) I will sit out this week but I am in for next week and the curry on Dec 2nd, cheers Dickie

Seems our house not the healthiest at the moment !
I don't really want to leave her alone all day whilst I'm at work and then again in the evening.

As you've got ten I'll step out this week, rather than just turn up for half an hour. I'll be back next week.
BTW, in for the curry on 2 December are:
- Parklife
- Biscuitman
- Ali B
- Donny
- Marathon
- Thomas
- Ulysses
Any more?
