I'll leave the pundits to explain tonight's rather strange result.

Both sydders and cyclesteve owe £8 subs. The kitty is £20 less than it was following the purchase of the new keeper gloves, but we still have a few quid over, plus whatever Powell collected previously. (Or rather there will be a few quid over when sydders and cyclesteve have paid; for now I'm owed £4.)

Thanks to bengidney for dropping off the bibs before the match when he had to drop out at short notice. dunebuggy is on bibwashing duty next time he plays as punishment for not turning up.

This is also my last week as manager, so someone needs to take over.

I will alert Powell as he may want to cancel the block booking; his credit card will be charged if we don't turn up and haven't cancelled.

Indeed, although the week I prompted people by sending them a message we had 13 confirmed, so there's clearly still some interest. I just struggle to work out why people can't post 'yes' or 'no' over a five day period! Is it really that hard to remember?

Not to be picky Biscuitman, but how come you cancelled at 4pm - an hour before the deadline? Not that many people seem to have come onto the site in the intervening hour but rules is rules......

How about I take over for a while - based on the following:

• Someone actually translates the names on this forum into people's real names, so I know who is who
  If someone has a full list of mobile numbers they can let me have
  All other info I need is passed over

Unless, of course, someone else is desperate to do it
