the usual trend in the Netherlands is to stick a kiddie on the front, one on the back and possibly 3rd kiddie fearlessly riding alongside.
It's great and they're so lucky they don't have to worry about hills like Kirkdale.
There's a chap that regularly zooms up your part of kirkdale on his red electric scooter and I love watching him putting some cyclists to shame, even with a few bags of shopping. I think he'd put a few cars to shame on the Top Gear test track!

Haven't had the pleasure but, have no fear as that chap controls his scooter with the skill of a rally driver. When it started snowing recently, as cars snaked up Kirkdale and the drivers realised that snow+ steep hill+ poor driving technique= hilarity, this spritely chap taught a few BMW drivers how to tackle that hill.
