Hi GWill.

We play here
http://www.goalsfootball.co.uk/CentreDe ... ranchId=48

Address:
Goals ( opposite the cricket ground)
Copers Cope Road
Beckenham
Kent
BR3 1NZ
Phone: 0208 650 0222

Kick off is 8pm, but we normally congregate around 7.45pm outside the front of the building or indside the foyer if there is a bit of rain. Getting there a bit early allows me to sort out numbers, collect cash, and make up any shortfall (or pocket the excess). Cost is £6 per head. Please bring enough for a pint after the game as they have a bar area also.

Our next game is now booked for 8pm kick off on Wedensday 5th August
And can someone bring a ball? (though i will attempt to replace Biscuitmans ball and buy a spare for matches before the next game).
I am also away for August 12th, so someone else will have to co-ordinate that match.

Thanks for the replies. I think i'll go to the 99p shop in Penge and see if i can pick up some bibs before wedesday.

The STF server crash yesterday deleted the more recent posts on this thread.

I have some bibs and a football that altogether cost just under £10. The footbal, though new, isn't a particularly good one (not very bouncy). If someone has a better ball, then please bring it along

Meet at 7.45 for an 8pm kick off.

ps I am also bringing along a mate so we should definitely have enough players now surely? He is a bit of a goalkeeping whizz so he tells me.

just as well there is a lot of people because i've bvggered me right knee.

I may well not play tomorrow (as if anyone would notice)., but i'll be there at the start to give the bibs and ball to someone to look after for next week (I can't make the 12th)

If we break the £60 mark in the kitty, I may go ahead and book the 12th as the 'free' match and let you lot sort out your teams. However, all 'ifs and buts' at the moment.

I'll ask you lot to post availability before this coming Friday evening (if possible) for the next match on the 12th

A low number of responses will mean the booking may not go ahead

**bump**

i'm definitely not playing tonight. These odd little sprains take a lot longer to shake off than when i was in my youth. I'll sort the pitch out for tonight and hand over the bibs, then i'll be off

Next weeks match on the 12th is a non-starter. Everyone's on holiday.

I'll start asking about the week after(19th) when i get back from mine.

Did i imagine that fight in the foyer? When I looked through the window I thought there was a bit of a scuffle between football teams in the building and when i went in a few minutes later the police were there. Did that really happen, or was it another bizarre dream?

Ali,

Yes it did happen. We heard the story at the bar after the game - apparantly it all stemmed from some poor refereeing, spilled over into the bar and ended up outside.

I have the bibs and am available for both the 12th and the 19th.

Marathon, I don't think you're going to hit the numbers for the 12th (please feel free to prove me wrong). The ball's in your court (so to speak)
