Donny has asked me to man the fort whilst he's abroad for a few days.

I'm going to order a recount (given I've been doing the totting up it's a little silly) but I make us a phenomenal 17...not couting DanDan and with Dickie to confirm on Thursday as usual  we might be ~18 this week.

Let me just double-check that but unless I state otherwise we're 17+.

Well done everyone!

EDIT: Apologies to Dickie who had already confirmed a week in advance, as in after last weeks game.

So, revised headcount:

1, Droidathon
2, Redhead
3, Balham Steve
4, Joe Pineapples
5, Swartie
6, Ulysses
7, Poaching Powell
8, Donny
9, Middlesborough
10, Sydders
11, CycleSteve
12, Bazwaldo
13, Marathon
14, Chrelcombe
15, Diamondmaker.

Forgotten anyone, gotten anything wrong here?

That's a shame DanDan. We've enjoyed your short time with us and if you can ever make it after this Weds then you know where we are.

Thought I'd see if you were paying attention Alex. I reckon after every goal you score you'll come over with a big orange rubber hand and smear it all over my face...like in the tango ads*.

We're a nice round 16 now so 8-a-side.

*Might be before your time

Fancy having a stab at posting the two teams Ulysses? Be interesting to see if there's some consensus...or am I just being a tit?

I loved all those Tango ads. Didn't one get banned as kids were slapping each other in the playground? Happyslapping meant an entirely different thing in those days!

IF (and it's Donny's gaffership) it was my gig I'd set up the teams thusly Ben. A mixture of power, pace, skill and determination Vs Team B.

Only joking...

It'd probably be an idea to ensure I got the number right? I've forgotten Dickie [sorry!] so we're 17 in total.

Team A:
Droidathon
Marathon
Redhead
Diamondmaker
Gary Lineker
CycleSteve
Donny
Bazwaldo
Sydders

Team B:
Trickster
Joe Pineapples
Balham Steve
Ulysses
Chrelcombe
Middlesborough
DanDan
Swartie

Teams are in no order but hopefully that'd blend defenders and attackers, those with 'legs' and those without etc, etc.

That looked pretty good mate until I clocked Team A had the extra man, although in mitigation, it looks like it could be a 1-1-6 formation. ; )
It's worth a shout on the understanding that if one team is getting tonked, someone needs to man up and offer to swap sides.

I am willing to be that man (especially seeing as I don't want to step on goal-getter Powells toes for the full hour), so i'll switch over at half time.

Let's see how we get on? When I used to set up the teams I'd try and pair up players. So I'd make sure each team had a good skillful runner and each team had a goal getter etc, etc, etc. I'd always try and group players in pairs and then ensure they were on different sides...if that makes sense.

Hopefully this set up for this evening reflects that.

BTW: PM me your personal email Joe P? I've got some stuff about 70 to send you.

tight game last night but 8 a side is too many on that pitch. I'd suggest first come first served basis and/or 7 a side with rolling subs.

In for 10th

Middlesbrough
Redhead
Steve
Parklife
Joe P
Donny
Trickster
