There are some articles about the church here:

This is the churches own website:

http://www.kicc.org.uk/

They talk about 'taking territories'. Nothing about community but there is a link for you to give money to them by direct debit.

This is an interesting article about the church:
Past investigations by the Charity Commission reported some financial irregularities: "Ashimolowo was ordered to repay £200,000 after it emerged he used church assets to buy a £13,000 Florida timeshare and £120,000 on his birthday celebrations, including £80,000 on a car." ("Richer than St Pauls: The Church that Attracts 8,000 Congregation to Disused Cinema", The Guardian, April 11, 2009)
Critics believe that religious institutions should be a model of financial integrity and any doubts about this reflects badly on the religion. Christian organisations can counter this by using their wealth to provide tangible and transparent assistance to the community. The Guardian article noted KICC official James McGlashan saying, "The teaching of [KICC] is very much about self-development, If that is preaching wealth then we are preaching wealth. Becoming financially independent, owning a house, getting a degree and a better job is good."
However, on its online donations page Glide Memorial Church tells donors, "Your donations work miracles...each year Glide touches the lives of thousands of individuals and families struggling to overcome the multi-generational cycles of dependency and poverty."

I have received a number of replies from Cllrs and building control in Bromely.

There has been a huge amount of opposition to the church changing the use of the cinema.

If you want to add your voice to help bring a cinema to Crystal Palace the most important email to write to is:

buildingcontrol@bromley.gov.uk

Fingers crossed.
