I agree full marks to the workers who turned up , although I would expect nothing less than people who earn GBP 40k for basically and unskilled job.

Those who went on strike should be sacked and new workers got in from many unemployed who would love to earn that sort of money.

But not all underground workers earn that amount do they - only drivers. and my understanding was that the majority of the strikers were station and support staff. Many of whom I would imagine earn a lot less.

Eagle, I know a couple of train drivers. I won't bore you with details of the duration and complexity of their induction training and the stuff they have to learn and put into practice every day of their working lives, suffice to say if one of them logged on here and read your comment, you would find yourself embroiled in a very intense discussion with a very angry individual!
