I don't see another site as being a problem.

Trouble is, it's so horribly designed.

Although this site isn't going to win any awards for it's design, it works, its fairly easy to navigate and it has great content.

Sydenhamnews has to up it's game, hopefully they will and hopefully both sites will feed off one another.

For the moment this site has nothing to worry about.

Not critism but just a comment on my personal opinion. There are too many 'distractions' on the website. The ads that change on the top right, the changing text under the date, the scrolling feeds, and the bbc feed. Just a bit too much.

I'll check it out again in a couple of weeks to see how it's developing.

Early days I suppose, but not too impressive.

It doesn't have that 'homely' feel to it that STF does. Duff colour scheme and font choice, if you ask me.

Looks a bit amateur in comparison.

Gosh, I am so envious of you Sydenhamers, when I tried to research local news on Forest Hill I found NADA! But here, just a measly mile away you have not 1 but 2 sites?

Seems like Foresthill.org hasn't been updated with any news since 2005 and there isn't another site, that actually gives you any news that is easily searchable. (not that i've found anyway)

Such a shame, because this is a really valuable and easy way for locals to keep in touch with whats going on, such as Forest Hill Pools (i only found out because it was on the BBC one morning). . . rather than rely on word of mouth or the forum !

So if anyone fancies the job . . .

p.s. Admin I think this site is FANTASTIC!

Probably showing my age here, but what does NADA mean?
I agree with Forest_Hill_Billie - we're incredibly lucky in SE26 having this brilliant site and the nascent Sydenham News. And the issue of Forest Hill Pools is a great one for a TV professional.

Not a lot of activity on Sydenham News; doesn't look like anything has changed on the site for a week.............
Maybe no news to report, not even that noisy woodpecker who is banging away at 5.30 every morning at the beginning of Lawrie Park Ave (Church end). He should be served an ASBO

Nada means nothing in Spanish.

De Nada i like saying 'your welcome' in spanish as in 'Thankyou'...''de nada' (it's nothing).
