What often surprises me greatly how so many cat worshipers are also twitchers and bird lovers . They cannot seem to understand how many birds are killed by cats.

More birds kill birds than cats do.

I would imagine the majority of birds that kill other birds are not domestic pets. And I would imagine most cat owners feed their cats, so that they're not killing for food. To be fair, not all cats kill birds, but it would be interesting to know if the bird population has fallen at the same massive rate that the cat population has increased.

More garden birds have been lost since the likes of Ground Force appeared with people clearing away vital habitat for those birds and their food chain

It is dad when people destroy their gardens.

I especially dislike the paving over of front gardens , so one can park one's car , used once a week for shopping.

Government's should never have permitted it. They could have refused to allow pavement lowering , as before that it done it is illegal to drive over the pavement.

It is lovely in same Homecroft Rd , where the front gardens are too short , and the gardens are still there.

Victorian and Edwardian houses do not look right with front gardens turned into concrete jungle.

Of course:
We could go back to a time before cars when horses used to leave huge deposits in
the middle of the road but that might cause some upset too. Apparently horse manure
is excellent for putting on your strawberries - Must admit I much prefer cream on mine!

Well, I think I'll continue to walk up hall drive occasionally as the children on the street love to pet our dog and their cats often visit our gardens. I'll also continue to pick up after my dog and try to forget that I've seen them park their car wheels on our bit of grass - even though we mustn't park on their road

Funnily enough there was a poo left outside our front door the very same evening we were told off. I hope it hasn't come to a bit of tit for tat that and that it was just a fox.

Of course you should continue to walk your doggie down Hall Drive. As far as I am aware it is quite legal so to do.

I agree with Annie when complaining that then residents , up market they may be , parking their cars on adjacent roads rather than their own.

Tres amusing . I have got an old picture of Homecroft about 62 with only about two cars parked in the road. Bliss.
