We won't die so young, but, over our lifetimes, will we be healthier? Instead of dying of lung cancer or a heart attack in our fifties (thereby ceasing thereafter to be a burden to the NHS), we'll live on until our nineties and expect the NHS to pay for our artificial hips, our post-stroke rehabilitation, and care during our demented final years. Cheaper for the NHS?
