Morning all,
Sadly Steve is now out this week, probably some sub-standard explanation but he'll be back for the 26th.
I'm still in.
Cheers

Chaps, I have a mate that can definitely make it to bring it upto 8 a side so will bring him along.
Bazwaldo (hoping he won't exit the pitch to a comedy Arsenal cup result two weeks running)

Good news on your mate Baz. No worries on yours Alex.
We'll set up the teams so that even though it'll be 7v8 the teams will be as even as we can make it. See you all tonight.

It will. Nothing beats an even team/match-up irrespective of whether it's on the 5s or the 7s. We can deal with odd numbers but there's always a sense of injustice if the 'lesser' team (numerically) loses! Fair enough.

Hi guys,
Massively sorry to ruin the equal numbers but i'm not going to be there tonight i'm afraid.
Have been home from work since lunch feeling a bit rough and have a feeling playing tonight will only make it worse. Wanted to give myself as much time as possible to see if I could make it.
Given the hiked prices at Goals and that i've pulled out so late, i'm quite happy to pay the £ 8 I should've this week when i'm back next week so no one has to pay more tonight or is out of pocket because of my absence.
See you lads next week when hopefully we'll have 14+ again for a good game on the 7's...

Ben,
Thank you for letting us know. Whilst I am not sure I can condone players pulling out at the 11th hour I do appreciate I am not in charge and you have no obligation. I do also understand your situation and appreciate your candour.
I shall let the gaffer Donny decide if he wants to invoke my somewhat draconian "don't play, pay" rule. I'm only gutted that at one point it looked like 16+, now we're struggling for 12+
Hey ho. Genuinely hope you're well enough for next week Redhead.
Ulysses the Great.

Yep, very good game last night - and well done to colours, I didn't realise you were a man short until about half-way through! Good legs...
Afraid I can't make next week or the week after - got rehearsals. See you in Feb

Donny/Guy’s I hope you don’t think I’m interfering as I’m only the newbie
I’m cool with paying the £8 every week, but it might stop some Players from coming week after week, as it does mount up over time plus with the prices of GOAL’s going up to £89.75 we need a min of 12 players every week to make ends meet.
I contacted the Bridge Leisure Centre which also has a Astro turf pitch to find out prices (which is only around the corner from the GOALS centre) and they are only £32 for a hour, only problem with that is they don’t have a Wednesday available for the time’s we normally play but they can accommodate us for a Monday with the same times and can get that slot every week!
But that also depends if everyone can change from a Wednesday and make it Monday.
So if we have 10 players or more per week then it would be only £3 but can always keep it to a Fiver so we have money in the kitty.
10 players - £3.20 each Everyweek
10 players Kitty - £11.80 per week
More players the better!
But if this is not good for everyone I’m cool with staying at the GOALS centre

Discuss this among yourselves with Donny and if you want I can go down to check out the place out as well.
Just an option for everyone to think about and might be better for everyone.
Alex
