No factitious words allowed, I'm afraid Steve.
When growing up in Germany we used to have to be able to recite the following in our native-language lessons*...
'Donaudampfschiffahrtsgesellschaftskapitän' translates as Danube steamship company Captain. As you can imagine only Ze Germans would have a 79 letter word that will likely get used once a lifetime, at most.
*It was so useful I'd forgotten it until about 10 minutes ago!

Going for the last possible post, sickness issues resolved at work, thanks to agency staff. I am now available to come along this evening. If no seat free I will take a substitues position at the table usually reserved for single people on the 14th Feb...

Middlesbrough, I'll take your 17:37 and raise it to a 17:52 post! I can confirm my TBC is now, er, confirmed!
I'm not sure if anyone will look at the forum this late but will see you all at Gurkha's at 8.

Goals have messed up my booking again, so I've only been able to get the 7 for the 1st. Would therefore be great to get as many people as possible (and at least 10)

Hi all, good fun last night.
Can't do it Weds 1st Dec but up for it on the 8th.
By the way as I am moving out I have some bits of furniture including a very nice leather 3 piece suite sofa that I am trying to sell. Anyone interested?
Cheers.

What a bunch of clowns they are Aiden.
There were quite a few people last night saying they'd be up for playing on - so we'll see.
I'm in, at any rate.
[It might be that if we're only 10 or so players then the kitty will have to take a hit for a week?]

There's the added bonus of Freddie Mercury and Steve Buscemi turning up sans 'Movember' appearance! Added a bit of welcome extra p*ss-take to last nights proceedings.
That's got to be enough, in itself, for a pre-Xmas kick-around?
BTW: Aiden, what's the kitty at?

Yes, we were all rather looking forward to a cheeky free pint last night. Hope you're feeling better by the way Aiden.
