On a slightly serious note does anyone have one of those ankle support thingamabobs?

Quite happy to buy one but perhaps someone has a sort of heavy tubigrip thing to stop my "Granny Ankles" (as I believe Donny or Steve termed them) letting me down once more?

Hi Guys

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, have been really busy with work/family ect.
Think at my age I will sit out rest of winter and rejoin in spring,if that ok.
Am full of admiration for fatbackfour as he still playing and he even older than me !

Have you settled on a date for xmas curry ?

Good game tonight. Marathon's punt into row z will join my numerous own goals over the past few months in the season highlights video!

I'm out next week (Wed 17th).

The following week (Wed 24th) will be the curry. All players, past and present, are very welcome. Who's in?

I enjoyed it even though we were - eventually - on the end of a drubbing. I think bibs taught us a valuable lesson in team play last night.

I'm in for footie next week. Will need to confirm the 24th.

Cheers

In for the 17th.

I noticed last night that the 7s pitch next to us was being used for training. Fitness training! I wonder what the deal was with that? Seems they spent at least 30 minutes running relays up and down the pitch? I asusme they're not paying 80odd pounds for that? Might be worth broaching this with Goals, Aidan?

I get the impression that intentionally, or otherwise, Goals are just f*cking us about.

At the end of the day, it's up to them what they use the pitch for, once they pay their £80. They might be block-booking it. If we get 12+ people to say they're coming by Friday evening, we have a good chance of getting one of the pitches.

I get that bit. But it must strike you as odd that given there's 2 x floodlight 11s pitches in the vicinity going begging at this time that they'd run up and down a 7s for almost an hour? You've seen yourself how when you booked online the 7s was free and then it wasn't when you called up...all a bit fishy.

I reckon Goals are looking after their mates. I'm gonna give them a bell tonight and see. If there's a 7s free I'm going to pencil a booking in on my account on it.

OK, balls out. I've booked the 7s as it was free.

We've been getting 12/13 yes's each week for the past 3 so hopefully this week will be no different.

I just thought we'd (hopefully) have a final game of 7s before the curry and then we'll see about going up to Xmas. As ever, not intending to usurp you Mr Ryan but 12 players on that 5s pitch is dead crowded...

Can always downgrade to 5s if I've done wrong here.

Count me in for Wednesday as well, 6-a-side on the 7s pitch would be good, so fingers crossed.
