17 in already. I may need to look at another pitch.
I’d better check if they are happy for more than 7v7!

Update for Wednesday,
First of all thank you to Aaron for letting me know that Goals were opening properly.
1. Social Distancing
We are playing a contact sport, I am not requiring anyone to wear a mask (my reason is below), there is obviously a small risk with this which you need to be aware of (see track and trace below)
Team Sports Risk Exposure Framework - my interpretation is that the vast majority of interactions are >1m, most Face to Face interactions are also >1m and fleeting (<3secs), and finally, most (if not all) non-fleeting interactions are not Face to Face (shoulder to shoulder)
2. Transmission
We need to prevent/limit transmission through hard surfaces
a) I have bought 2 new balls (recommended by Byron). We should only use these.
b) no sharing of gloves, no handshakes or goal celebrations
c) please use hand sanitiser before entering the pitch and again when leaving it
d) we should avoid using bibs if possible. Is everyone able to bring either a red top, or a blue or black top. Could you let me know before Wednesday which you will be doing. If you can bring either then let me know. (If we have to use bibs then those with a bib will need to wash their own.
3. Goals’ request
Goals have requested that only one person approaches the counter to pay. If possible can everyone either pay me in cash beforehand, or pay by the app. £9 as before.
4. FA Guidance
a) Track and Trace - I know who you are, but we should be prepared to self isolate if anyone is diagnosed
b) no one to play if they have symptoms ( high temperature >37.8^, new continuous cough, shortness of breath or sore throat, loss or change to sense of taste/smell, feeling generally unwell.
c) Please avoid public transport or car sharing, if possible.
d) do not congregate in the building, please can we meet before 8pm at the front door.
and finally, not directly related
5. Mosquitoes
There is a problem with mosquitoes and biting flies, I suggest you use some repellant.
Sorry it is a long message, please let me know if you think I’ve forgotten something.

Sounds good Darren - although with all these new rules I may forget how to play football!
I’ll be the man wearing black..

So Aaron played last night and it seems it is business as usual. I may have been overly enthusiastic about my response. I think I am just very keen for it to work out.
I would still like to avoid using bibs if possible. Even if only for a few weeks.
Just had a call from Goals. The pitch is booked for 8pm tomorrow. But the block booking has been reinstated for the usual 9pm slot - which is not ideal.

Great to hear that it's back up and running. I'm away this week and next but am really excited about coming in a couple of weeks.
Have fun everyone!

Are we ok for numbers or do you need to put a cap on it? Just working out if I made the cut! Still keen to play

All in I think. We've all been waiting a long time for this.
We may operate subs - we'll see if everyone turns up.

Well I enjoyed last night, felt good to be back. A bit achy this morning though. I think the pitch was a bit crowded so I suggest if we get a large number that we look at using subs unless we get enough for the second pitch.
In for Wednesday 22nd July, all in. Please remember that kick off is 9pm from now on (until I can move it).
