4. The Sheffield Court at the Great Exhibition 1851, the website I saw this on makes that clear. These regional trade courts must have been the genesis of the Industrial Courts at Sydenham.

Right way round. Knowing the sculpture has it's uses. This is such a mixture of Italian and German work, which was displayed seperately from the start, that it must have been taken before the opening of the Palace, and could have been anywhere in the building. 9. Delamotte, taken during the construction of the building, there is no wall in the distance! The statues are on packing cases and could be anywhere. from the Metropolitan Museum website, but also in the Chup Friemert reprint of the Delamotte 1854 photographs.

But I knew you could handle it! Not like Chris Doran... he seems to struggle. Personally, I don't need to use any brain power for this kind of stuff when it's a subject I know well, ie. you know the Crystal Palace/statues very well. Other people can find this sort of thing rather difficult.

I not posted that before, but it was in with a cp batch. Could it be anything to do with Queen's Apartments/Picture Gallery? Same goes for some of those supposed Birmingham Court shots.

I woudn't dare! With so much info being exchanged, I sometimes fail to clock certain things and can make mistakes. Please forgive me.

You're being too modest; you obviously have access to a lot more sources than I. Where did you get the Irish Vestibule pic from? Give me give me both Ebay user IDs so I can harrass them for a higher-res scan! What sources do these pics come from?


Again, if you ever feel I'm demanding information where it isn't duly deserved, just say to me "No, you can't have it, you naughty man! I'm not telling you!!" Then I'll understand. Or just make up some BS about some respectable gentleman gave you an illegal copy and you can't reveal his identity. Or, "I'll find out later and let you know". That is much better than ignoring someone. I'm sorry if I sound so demanding sometimes. Just tell me how you feel, ie. overwhelmed. I know I can be over-powering, just not always aware of it.

I haven't seen that series. I think I've figured it out; is it the seldom seen junction of the Centre Transept and Nave? Speaking of Centre Transept, what the hell is the Samuel Philip's book going on about with regards to a Canadian Court, Library and Reading Room in that area? I thought the Library was on the first floor.
