Hi all - I'm a newbie here so apologies if this is a topic which has been covered previously.
I wondered if anyone could shed any light on what's going on with the seemingly abandoned building on the roundabout next to Sydenham station? I saw a note stuck to the boarding saying it had been acquired by Sainsburys, but it seems as though it's been in exactly the same state since I moved to Sydenham last July.
Any info would be very interesting; I've got my fingers crossed for some kind of decent pub to rival The Dolphin!
It's the old Greyhound pub. The developers who built the flats tried to pull a fast one with it so it's been going through the courts. Hopefully things will start moving soon and we'll have a lovely new boozer. Check out the end of this thread for updates:
