CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
A Hollywood actor and author was in Trattoria last night. Any ideas who it was?
Re: CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
Dunno Lee but last time I was in there Diana Rigg was right behind me. Wish it was in front.
A few more years in Sydenham and you will get used to hob nobbing with the glitterati Lee!

We should start putting stars in our paving (It would have been fun to put famous locals in the paving like WC Grace etc, although perhaps not Rolf pending his trial!).
Re: CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
From Trattorias Facebook page, it's either:
Ricky Gervais
Mackenzie Crook
Or Steve Carrel
(there is an office connection).

Or roundels on the buildings?leenewham wrote:We should start putting stars in our paving (It would have been fun to put famous locals in the paving like WC Grace etc, although perhaps not Rolf pending his trial!).

(Although it is disputed whether Shackleton ever ventured as far south as Trattorias)
Re: CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
That is a brilliant idea. I think we should knock one up as soon as possible and use it to generate publicity about the Greyhound saga.
I can draw one to pitch the idea, anyone know how to make one that is safe/will stand up to the weather? A big balloon perhaps?

Re: CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
It might be an idea as a Sydenham Arts Festival media event. Then if it 'flies' we could think about a permanent feature. After all if mere Dorking can put this on a traffic island ... we can do better!

Re: CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
I'm not sure how the people of South Newington would feel about Sydenham claiming the elephant for their roundabout.
Re: CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
A green dragon?
Or perhaps we should also use a large cock next to the greyhound with a sign that says 'one of these knocked down this'...

Re: CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
Reliably informed by some fellow sydenham film clubbers it was Mackenzie Crook.
Re: CELEBRITY IN SYDENHAM
Whoever sees him next, please coerce him into having a photo taken in front of the Greyhound site with thumbs down and send it out to all forms of media.
