Maddies Fish Bar in New Cross got some funding from Kickstarter.

It's a great idea and helped them build awareness of the project and anticipation before they opened. They are a great business and really nice people. I think they will do exceptionally well. It's the sort of business I'd love to see in Sydenham. young and vibrant and based around good food, which would build on the solid platform we already have here (PFC, Billings, Sugahill, Blue Mountain, The Dolphin, La Tienda, Fresh & Fruity, The Co-op, On the hoof, Kente, Calabash, Trattoria, The Lemon Tree, Ghurkas, Harbour 21 etc etc).

There is a bid to set up a cafe in Mayow Park by a regular stall holder in Sydenham market and now Horniman market.
