Yes - this is part of our fund raising (I'm the Treasurer) and it would be great to have more members from this Forum and the local community in general. We have had a series of very useful workdays on the Green this month clearing brambles and planting bluebells. Further activities are planned and we are hoping that a Sydenham Arts Festival event is to be confirmed for the summer. Two local schools will be holding their own educational and leisure events in the coming weeks and months.
Volunteer work days will be held every second Saturday in the month from 10.30am ending with the November session.
While local authority and other grants enable us to pay for larger projects, we have little money to pay for basic expenditure including our annual insurance. Membership subscriptions enable us to function in between grants!
