Unfortunately I am pegged in with a couple of mates to do a crawl from Sydenham to Forest Hill to get accustomed with the surroundings and pubs (many thanks for all the information on another thread detailing pub closures/still open etc)! Next time however as have visited their small pub in Gypsy HIll which does delicious beers and burgers.

Looks like Late Knights and Alexandra Nurseries are having another beer and burger do this Saturday. The last one was great if not slightly, should be even better this weekend if the weather holds up.

There beer is great, I wish we could get these guys to set up in sydenham!!!

Just read this in time and subsequently cancelled all plans on Saturday to go visit. Housewarming plant, heartwarming ale and hand warming burgers on the menu woohoo. Thanks for the heads up !

Indeed I would love to see these guys setup shop in sydenham. Don't think it's too far fetched either as I know they were looking at setting up a few venues in anerley, penge and another location as the gypsy hill venue has done well. I've already sent them a few cheeky emails bout it

I'm brewing tomorrow but hope to pop down late afternoon.

I've tweeted them a few times about opening something in Sydenham too. Perhaps a personal push is an idea? Anyone who goes mention it to them.

They're still trying to come to some sort of arrangement at the Alex pub, either sub-letting off the new developers or taking the whole place back off them now that the developers have had their initial plans to convert to a hotel/hostel knocked back by the council.

The Nurseries/LK tie-up will be a monthly thing and was great again today

Went along yesterday. Lovely little place the nursery (cracking cake!) and as per beer rebellion good beer and burgers did have a cheeky sydenham chat with the guy who said in quite a general way that they are looking for venues and would like to do one in sydenham perhaps with the general issue being less location/premises but more getting/paying for license which can be harder/more expensive depending on venue. They did mention they were gonna start doing the sydenham monthly market though!
