Pedder Mailstorm
I guess most of you receive estate agent letters claiming to have sold a house near you and would you like to sell yours. This is annoying if you hate junk mail. But Pedder are taking it to a new level.
Yesterday I received 26 identical personally signed letters from Pedder. It wasn't someone junking the whole street in my letterbox. Each had our house number. I complained of course. Not that it had any affect. Another 50 or so arrived today.
What a waste of trees, postage and annoyiing time trying to find my own mail under the avalanche. Rang Pedder again. They sounded clueless. What will tomorrow bring?
Sorry about the rant. The reason I posted was to establish whether anybody else has suffered or whether I have been singled out for special attention.

V.annoying, completely agree with you.
We've not had any mailshot drop from Pedder.
But we do have a NO JUNK MAIL sticker on our letterbox (not that this deters all junk droppers I might add).
I suggest a timely tweet to @pedderproperty might get you a more positive response than speaking to any of the dopes that usually staff an estate agent office (IMO). Let us know how you get on.

In my experience No Junk Mail stickers are ignored , often because the person cannot speak English .
I get especially annoyed at fast food leaflets , as I endeavor to consume a healthy diet.

Re: Pedder Mailstorm
In this case they were delivered in plain franked envelopes by the Royal Mail. The postman is hence compelled to deliver them even if he knows its junk. So this debacle also cost Pedder significant money and even more time. Each letter was individually signed.
You would have thought they would have noticed.

Re: Pedder Mailstorm
How odd. I've never had one personally addressed flyer from Peddar, let alone tens. Just a single generic one pushed through the letter box.

Guess I'm special ... wanna few?
BTW the quoted sale was a four bedroom townhouse in Lawrie Park Avenue for £557,500 which seems cheap in the current climate.

On related agent frakkery.
Uniplan have just put up a load of "let by" boards.
Not "to let" because they are occupied.
Is this ugly advertising allowed?

Re: Pedder Mailstorm
I agree , they should be taken down.
I would have thought in the age of the internet no need at all for any display boards. They are ugly and not needed,.
I would pull them down. Should be easy with so much rain in the soil.

One on Venner has succumbed to the wind.
Re: Pedder Mailstorm
They have to take them down within 14 days. They aren't supposed to put them up after it's sold. I'd like to see them banned for everyone.

At least one is a flat with a long term tenant who's not moving. It's just advertising.
Re: Pedder Mailstorm
Perhaps they should all 'ahem' fall down due to the wind, Skeptic?
Re: Pedder Mailstorm
Stuart, maybe a mail merge failed, and you got all the post that was destined for the rest of us.
the rest of us appreciate you taking one (or 50) for the team.

Unless the free holder gave permission these boards are illegal.
Uproot them all I say.
In days of rightmove. and internet , no need for them.
