Sema's Cafe - Sydenham High Street

Post by J Low »

Having tried just about every food & drink establishment in Sydenham over the past few years, am I right in saying that this place offers probably the best value cup of tea & home-cooked meal in town? Welcoming staff & great service. Just can't fault the place. Happy customer.

Yes, its a good little place. In fact I'm going to call in today on my way to babysitting and have a bacon sandwich.

Went down today. I had a great bacon sarnie on proper crusty bread cut by hand, and a mug of tea for £1.85 (One pound eighty five pence!). Marvelous. Cheery service and entertainment on tap due to the banter of the three street cleaners sharing the next table.

Yep, for big fry-up, it has to be Sema's!

I know its only a fry, but they cook it just right :-) Lovely.

And they are definitely friendly even if you are not in every week. Have had lots of laughs in that place.

If we do go all yuppie, what with cappperchinoes an panneenies an that, it would be no harm to get rid of a couple of greasy spoon places, but there will always be a huge market for a proper caff like Sema's, long may they continue.

popped in to Semas today for the umpteenth time over the years and yes they have certainly made me feel welcome whenever Ive called in.
Clean, friendly, good food at a very reasonable price and always good service.

Totally agree, I will have to check it out, I have been getting my fix of fry ups at the hill top cafe.

I went there today, great service, good fried breakfast, a good 'greasy spoon' type cafe.

I went past the premier snack cafe again down the bottom of the hill and it was shut again. When does this place open? I have never seen it open!

Always like to buy nice fresh sarnies from there - much better than unappetising, flattened prepacked ones :)
