Dear friends, colleagues and stakeholders of Lewisham Borough Police:
Research indicates that over the last two years confidence in Lewisham Police has dropped significantly amongst our communities. This is judged by a survey carried out on behalf of the MPS by a private company and involves cold-calling people and asking them a series of questions that are calibrated by statisticians to present a reliable result.
Confidence is different to satisfaction, which is a measure of how well Lewisham Police treat people who have been victims of crime. On the satisfaction score, Lewisham police are rated highly by the public.
In order to address this troubling issue, I am attempting to carry out a brief survey to ascertain the veiws of a wide ranging number of people. The survey is ten questions long and we will use the results to tailor responses to improve our communities' confidence in policing on this borough.I have written the survey using the free web resource at 'survey monkey' on the link below.
Please would you take 5 minutes to complete this survey, and crucially, forward on this link to any contacts you may have who live or work on the borough for them to also complete. I hope to get several hundred respondents; the more responses I get the better I will be able to gauge what we need to do to improve.
Many thanks in anticipation for helping me with this. All responses are anonymous and any data treated in the strictest confidence.
