FH Soc - Bring and Take this Saturday, Dacres Wood

(Dacres Wood Nature reserve - entrance off Dacres Road, between Catling Close and where Dacres Road meets Silverdale - see 'Where to find us'.)

This is a "Freecycle" event - and also combined with a regular last Saturday of the month reserve Open Day

Time - 1.30 – 4.00 pm

For the Freecycle, bring good quality unwanted items, and take something you need – all free!!!!

WHAT TO BRING

NB: all items must be in good condition and clean. Items should be re-usable and easily portable. Examples of acceptable items:
  • Immaculate clothing adult and children’s clothing
  • Toys
  • Books
  • CDs and DVDs
  • Kitchenware
  • Objet d’art
  • Plants
  • Tools
  • Small electrical tems in good working order e.g. lamps, toasters, coffee machines
WHAT NOT TO BRING

Lewisham Council will no longer be taking away unwanted items after the event.

So please do not bring:
  • Electrical items larger than a toaster e.g. no TVs, PCs, monitors, printers, scanners, DVD/VHS/CD recorders/players, vacuum cleaners
  • VHS or cassette tapes
  • Adult bicycles, furniture, carpets
  • Jumble
  • Any item not suitable for domestic recycling

Would it be an idea to have a postcard board on which peeps could advertise any larger items for sale or for free if collected from their homes? Just a thought to help those on the look out for larger bargains and those who don't have cars :) Or perhaps there's going to be one anyway...

One for FH Soc, who are mainly involved in organising this ...
