Woodman Pub, Kirkdale

I heard recently (again, only a rumour), that the Woodman Pub at the junction of Dartmouth Rd and Kirkdale was to close. This is on top of the other recent pub closures. Any one have news on this? It is a very fine building, and on the corner of Halifax St, one of the better conservation areas in Lewisham.

Are other parts of Kirkdale in a conservation area then (further up past the recent conservation status given to bits of Sydenham road area)? I was wondering this recently as there are some lovely buildings along there.
