Hot on the heels of SEE Love Harlem at 172 Sydenham Road, SEE The Middle Clash at 5 Kent House Road and SEE Gunpowder Cherry Pie & Flash Trash at 167 Sydenham Road, we have another pop up shop SEE N'Damus opening on Monday at 1 Sydenham Road (the old Sydenham Station ticket office, donated to the project by Property World).
N'Damus London (http://www.ndamus.com/) design and make leather handbags and accessories. Nneka Onyenakala already has a shop in Brixton Village but would like to build a presence in her local area. Please stop by to welcome her from Wednesday.
We will have maps available soon in all of the pop up shops which will detail the pop up shops in Sydenham and the street art that appears throughout the high street providing a trail in between the pop ups.

Re: SEE3 News: Pop Up Shop Opening Wednesday 1 Sydenham Rd
Well done on getting so many pop-ups opened. I think they provide a very welcome addition to the area, especially when they become permanent businesses, or just inspire others to open new shops in the area at a faster rate than I can remember happening.
Are there any plans on more pop-ups in Forest Hill? I'm conscious that next week Sydenham will have 4 pop-up shops running simultaneously, which is twice as many as have been opened in Forest Hill over the year. There still seem to be plenty of empty shops that could be used in Forest Hill; on Dartmouth Road, Perry Vale, and Devonshire Road.

Re: SEE3 News: Pop Up Shop Opening Wednesday 1 Sydenham Rd
Hi Michael
We are still due to deliver two more pop up shops: one in Kirkdale and one in Forest Hill. We are aiming to open the Forest Hill pop up to coincide with the next Forest Hill Fashion Week at the end of September, and we will possibly aim to coordinate the Kirkdale one at the same time.
We have purposefully opened more pop ups in Sydenham than Forest Hill for a number of reasons:
- Sydenham is a long high street and it is difficult to make an impact with just one pop up shop.
- Forest Hill has improved vastly without our help following the introduction of the Overground and the opening of the pools with a number of new businesses on the high street that meet the needs of the community. Sydenham hasn't evolved in the same way and needs a catalyst. This is why we have gone for such a high impact project incorporating pop up shops, street art and events that impact on a night-time economy.Thankfully our project has impacted at the same time as the very visual high street improvements so hopefully the overall effect will be that catalyst needed to encourage new sustainable businesses to the area.
- Forest Hill now (fortunately) has very few empty shops available, which is why when we were only able to secure one shop in February we ensured that the project still had maximum impact on surrounding retail and the community by introducing the first Forest Hill Fashion Week.
There are still ways we can maximise our impact when we do open our next pop up in Forest Hill so that although we may only have one shop we can do something that possibly introduces several businesses to the high street, or impacts positively on existing businesses.
As always happy to chat through ideas as to how we can make the most positive impact.
Louise

Popped into N'Damus today and was very impressed; marvellous bags. Unfortunately I'm all bagged up at the moment but will certainly buy a pair of the Hill cufflinks. Great shop!

Before N'damus finishes its run, I just wanted to say that Mr Chrism bought me a bag from there for my birthday and I love it.
They have some really lovely stuff there- quality bags, fashionable. So if anyone is looking for a present for themselves or others, they should consider popping by.

I'd echo that. Mrs Nigel purchased a very elegant leather bag with which she is very pleased.
Not cheap but very reasonably priced for such a high quality item.
A very good morning
