Hi Everyone,

We are considering opening a small independent cinema primarily in the Sydenham area however, we are considering Forest Hill too. We have created a survey and would really appreciate if you could take the time to participate - it would really help us to know what the local community thinks about the idea and to gain some feedback about how we can be unique and be an integral part of the community.

Filled out, this would be a great addition to SE26. There definitely seems to be a bit of buzz in Sydenham at the moment! Hopefully there’s a suitable venue or site for such a venture.

Survey done. I think a cinema would transform the high street. I also think people from Forest Hill would be willing to travel the short distance and with free parking on the high street, East Dulwich / Crystal Palace residents, too. But most of all, I'd love to have a cinema showing independent films. For Hollywood blockbusters, there are other options in the vicinity.

Fantastic idea and really hope this comes to fruition . It would be somewhat of a dream fulfilled for my good lady , to be able to walk to a cinema.

Brilliant idea! We would definitely use something like this in the local area. A good bar/ restaurant would be great too as Sydenham is really lacking at the moment in nightlife.

Me & my husband were just discussing this the other day! Love the idea of it being in Sydenham as there aren't many options for evening entertainment here...but would travel to Forest Hill. Think if it showed art house, foreign & independent movies alongside some bigger pictures it would have a real point of difference from the likes of Purley Way, Beckenham, Bromley & Peckham. Also be nice to have a bar like Ritsy Cinema in Brixton.

Completely agree, Sydenham would be well served by a cinema. Yes, Yes, Yes. And dickp's property suggestions, particularly the old snooker clubs

It would be wonderful if you found a venue in Sydenham.
A cinema with perhaps a cafe would be a great addition to the area.
