Sydenham Assembly - Tuesday 4 June at the TNG

Post by Chris Best »

Reminder that the Sydenham Assembly is tomorrow evening - here is the link for the Assembly Newsletter - http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/getinvolved/ ... er2013.pdf - hand delivered to every door in the ward.

We will be reviewing the top five priorities -
more activities for children and young people
improving community safety and tackling antisocial behaviour
vibrant high street
environmental improvements to provide a cleaner and greener Sydenham
transport improvements for Sydenham

and voting on the next five plus discussing the next set of actions to improve the area.

This is an informal meeting with table discussions so an opportunity for you to give your views in person and chat to other residents. Plus a preview of the new youth centre on the corner of Wells Park Road and Taylor's Lane - formally opening next Monday.

There be a number of updates and time for questions.

Refreshments available from 6.45pm and the meeting will finish at 9pm.

Where on earth is the TNG??

And what is this stuff about "hand-delivered" how else could something be delivered? Just say "delivered" in future.

You wouldn't know as I don't think it has a sign outside. But it is the huge plastic looking building on the corner of Coombe Road and Wells Park Road, where the old church hall used to be. Another historic building, knocked down to build something for the youth of today !!

In fairness, it's a lot nicer inside. And the building is going to be made available to older people during the day. It would be great to see some mixed age groups using it.
