Anyone wishing to find out more about cricket in Mayow Park and how to make pitch bookings should contact the Glendale office on 020 8318 3968.

For more about Mayow Park, visit the Friends of Mayow Park Blog, join us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter @mayowpark1

And just to explain 'Mayow Park' the user name - it's an account that I, Tim Lund, set up yesterday having volunteered to help FOMP's chairperson on their communications, and with whom the password is being shared - so it could be either of us, but more likely me. If you have any comments on Forum posts from 'Mayow Park', it will probably be better to make them either on Facebook or the Blogspot.

Pleased to see, in spite of the weather, that there was a game yesterday. Laurie Johnston, from one of our two home teams, Streatham & Marlborough CC,

reports that they "had a wet and windy day but narrowly defeated Catford Wanderers by 1 wicket at 7.30pm."

Full match report here, and congratulations from the Friends of Mayow Park (FOMP)

FOMP are also looking for a sports users rep. to join the committee. The main role would be to keep an ear out for what others sports users of the park might be saying about it - what they like, don't like, what could be done to improve it - and bring this to our meetings, where you'll have the opportunity to share your views with other park users and representatives of LB Lewisham and their contractors,Glendale.

Another win for our home club Streatham & Marlborough - report here

Especially glad to read that yesterday
Mayow looked at its most picturesque as the game drew to a close, as we left the pair of thrushes reclaimed the square.
