I notice at the next General Election that there are boundary changes that will mean that the Lewisham West constituency with now become Lewisham West and Penge Borough constituency.
Three wards of the London Borough of Bromley:- Clock House, Crystal Palace, Penge and Cator; and four wards of the London Borough of Lewisham:- Bellingham, Forest Hill, Perry Vale, Sydenham will now make up this constituency.
Lewisham West has lost Crofton Park, Catford South, Rushey Green and Whitefoot.
I might be wrong but this looks like another election win for Jim Dowd.
As an SE26 resident in the present Beckenham constituencey, this can only be a good thing as far as I am concerned. I think these boundaries are done on population but I feel my issues and concerns are more in keeping with the residents of Sydenham, Forest Hill etc than with those in Beckenham.
