Cyclists
Cyclists
Who has watched the programe recently regarding cyclists and accidents. Whilst waiting for the 202 bus outside of costcutters I saw some idiot swerving all over the road completely oblivious of the 202 bus on his right hand side. WE got up to the Greyhound roundabout and at the junction of Westwood Hill and Lawrie Park there had been a coming together of a bike and a car.Whats going on in this world ?

Re: Cyclists
I saw part of the programme you mention:
There are a lot more cyclists on the road these days, a fast growing trend so accidents
bound to be on the up. I am a car driver and a cyclist and see idiots from all sides on a
daily basis. Bad cyclists, bad car drivers, bad lorry drivers - also see many good law abiding
ones too but, obviously I suppose, more likely to notice the bad ones!
Everyone needs to be carefull on our roads no matter what they ride or drive but reckless
-ness / road rage seems to have grown over the years, probably so many reasons including
crowding for this!
Very worrying though, I must admit!

Re: Cyclists
I am in great sympathy with cyclists who stick to the rules.
However really annoyed at those who cycle on the pavements. These should be heavily prosecuted.

Re: Cyclists
This BBC iPlayer programme may expire soon. IMHO a very fair (to all sides) if not too well titled. Well worth watching: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... ins_Roads/

Re: Cyclists
In my experience it seems quite rare that cyclist behaviour causes accidents.
I regularly shout at those who jump red lights but that's just because it's irritating when people break the rules.
Pedestrians in all black who step into the road are my current bug bear.
Also - who is this daemon cyclist tormenting Mr Eaglet!
