Stopping aid to India

I was not suggesting that the Nazi party gained a majority of the electorate. When was the last British party to do that.
I believe they were the largest party in the first election . In the second The President had no intention of governing.

I admit based on the second election I am incorrect and sincerely apologise.


Going back to aid for India. I guess we have agreement this is a good idea.

I digress - on the point of voting for people in charge, I could point out that nobody in the UK actually voted for David Cameron to be our Prime Minister. He just happened to be the leader of the party that got the most seats at the general election... but then you all knew that already.

we definitely should stop giving aid to those countries who can quite clearly afford to look after thier poor themselves (even if we know that they won't) - it's not our country.

Apparently some aid also goes to Russia !!!!!!!

Guess we are not giving aid to Luxemburg ( the richest EU state by GDP and also , believe it or not , the biggest recipent of EU money , again per person )
So we are actually giving aid to Luxemburg , without knowing it , as we are the second biggest donors.

The more I learn about how the EP operates the more my heart sinks.

It's a form of overly complex government that answers to no one, makes up its own rules, fritters our money away and is impervious to proper financial scrutiny. Its a bit like the Labour party on steroids.

If they ever send in the auditors I'm sure we'd see some serious financial wrongdoing that'd make the MP's expense scandal seem petty in comparison.

It will not because Lux has a Veto

The lunacy of having The Parliament and staff traipse from Lux to Stasbourg ro 1 week in 4 again is totally stupid

Apparently many op market , expenses only ,restuarants survive on the money ( our money)
