Hi Louise, you mention the community centre. Where is that, forest hill, Sydenham? The see3 website still says TBA. I also signed up for the newsletter , but haven't seen anything on the meeting tonight sent out.

If meetings go ahead without people knowing where the meeting are we are falling at the first hurdle. There are lots of people who want to be involved & for this to be a success but it needs to be better publicised when these meeting are so people can plan & attend.

I have to agree with jonekt about this - I've only just found out about this - granted its no ones fault apart from mine for being busy but I am very interested in taking part.

I never saw any invite emails for newsletter subscribers so maybe that was a missed opportunity this time. Hopefully as this organisation is just finding its feet everything will be greatly publicised in the future.

jonekt caseyref I think you have just demonstrated the need for a Marketing Committee

The meeting will be held in the Community Room at Forest Hill Pools. The SEE3 website has now been updated.

This meeting has certainly been organised at short notice, but with the Christmas period fast approaching and enquiries coming in daily we need to get a handle on this. Minutes from the meeting this evening will be published and future meetings will be held regularly so there will be plenty of opportunity for everyone to get involved.

Moving forward there will be plenty of other committees that people can get involved with or lead on. We will be appointing a Town Team Manager very soon and one of their first tasks will be to establish the Town Team; a team that will be representative of all groups within the community and will be responsible for driving regeneration forward.

Keep an eye on www.see3.co.uk for updates. Following this evening's meeting we hope to have more regular updates posted and regular newsletters sent out with all of our news.

So people weren't notified of the meeting to discuss the marketing committee meeting because there was no marketing committee? This seems bonkers.

Louise can i ask the primary source of information is though the see3 website abnd newsletter. i can see another meeting set up for a Christmas committee posted on this forum and a lot of people will not be expected to have to look on this site to get the information first. I personally am confused now at how all these committees fit together, how it all works and why if you've already stated your skills why meetings are staking place without you being notified. Hopefully once the newsletter and website is updated it will become clearer.

It also looks like the next meeting is also in forest hill. Shouldn't these meeting alternate between area so it is more respresentative? I fear that there is only a select few who are involved and know what is going and we need to keep the community fully enagaged and informed if this is to be a success.

I hope last night was a useful meeting & look forward to seeing what the next steps ar - particularly for Sydenham.

jonekt I can see that there is a lot that you are frustrated with. Currently we are a small team with a big workload and we are doing our best. There will be details sent out about upcoming meetings and committees so please do come along and find out more, and get involved. Its up to all of us to make a difference and turn our high streets into the vibrant, engaging places we'd like them to be.

Hi Louise, thanks for quick responses on this. I am glad to hear the meeting last night went well and am looking forward to seeing what decisions were made. I can see you have a huge amount of enthusiasm about this which is really positive - & key to its success.
