Car repairs/body shop

Post by GFA »

Hi

Can anyone recommend a really good body shop in the locale to buff out scratches on a car please?

Many thanks.

We fix any car, the workshop by the train line near forest hill station, has always been good to me. They always start from the premise of trying to be as cost effective as possible, which is a refreshing approach.

Thanks for the recommendation. I haven't noticed spotted this business! Do you know the name of the road its on? Is it actually called We fix any car (I'm not having much luck locating them on Yahoo/google!).

Thanks again.

I have been taking my trusty VW Golf Estate to Alan Hillls Motors in Crystal Palace.
I do feel slightly disloyal spending one's hard-earned abroad as it were , but he is a thoroughly reliable mechanic and car repairs maestro.
Not cheap but has never let me down.
He is in Alma Place on the one way system.
As well as being an excellent mechanic
He is a decent chap that plays fair and square.
I recommend him to anyone.
If he could be persuaded to ply his trade in Sydenham instead of what I can only describe as Crystal Palace he would be up their with the Sydenham Greats .
Good evening

I would have thought the use of such a term would be enough to ensure one should avoid him like the plague.

Thanks for this recommendation. Its always good to have more than one. Thanks also to Dickp. I will get quotes from both of them for comparison and proceed from there.

Are you sure you really mean "buff out"?

Despite what the TV adverts for superduper scratch removal pens/polishes would have us believe, it's normally near on impossible to successfully polish out scratches on modern automotive paint finishes.

These guys are over towards new cross but well worth the trip.

http://www.tyredoutltd.co.uk/

Great service and cheap as chips to boot.

Rear breaklight replacement: £3 fitted!

Service: £120 all in, (VW) wanted £250 to do the bear minimum, parts would be extra.
