Yo my favourite people!!!
Please keep 1pm-4pm free this Saturday and get yourselves to The Horniman Museum's Gardens Pavilion for a FULLY youth-led, planned and run event. In a joint-event with Summer Step, Horniman Museum Youth Panel and The Sydenham & Forest Hill Youth Forum, young people are inviting older people to come and socialise with youth in a series of fun things to do including a 'speed dating' style activity, professionally-taught Lindy Hop (no experience necessary), and inspired by Horniman's 'Body Adorned' exhibition - fingernail art, jewellery making, and henna tattooing.
A great event to bring your grandchildren / grandparents. Parents welcome too!

Re: Young and Old to have some fun!
Here is the event in the young people's own words:
Hi,
Summerstep, in association with Horniman Museum and Sydenham and Forest Hill Youth Forum are having a generation integration event which aim to break down barriers between generations allowing tolerance and understanding, with an environmental twist to acknowledge global warming and find out to what extent the climate has actually changed, doing this in the form of a 'one to one' workshop, with a target audience specifically for elderly people and youths.
There will also live performances and a chance to learn how to swing dance, as well as the arts and crafts section of henna, nail painting and jewellery making.
This event shall be taking place on the 25th August from 1pm - 4pm at Horniman Museum, and should be a fun day out for all.
The event is free of charge.
Thank you,
Farhana Matin
