This looks interesting via Bromley Council, some are pretty much in Sydenham:
Do any of our local shopping parades need a facelift?
Bromley Council has put aside a small amount of money to improve local shopping parades. There’s up to £25,000 per shopping parade available but the money has to be bid for. It could be enough to help revitalise some of these well used local facilities.
We have five identifiable shopping parades in the Penge & Cator ward.
Croydon Road,
Kent House Road,
Newlands Park by Tannsfeld Road
Newlands Park by Penge East Station
Parish Lane
Not all bids will be successful so we are anxious to get your ideas and firm up a bid which will go to the Portfolio Holders. Suggestions could be signage, lighting, or gating an alleyway to avoid flytipping and misuse.
We need local businesses or neighbours to help us identify improvement projects, so please contact us with your ideas.
