I was wondering if our experiences are unique to us ... or whether others had suffered similar problems.
Within the last few weeks, we have sent two very important letters from Sydenham Post Office. Both were handed in at the Post Office Counter, who weighed, stamped and took the letters. So they didn't going into the general post box. They were to two different unconnected addresses.
Neither arrived. It would be good to know if these were just isolated cases, or whether there's a pattern with Sydenham Post Office Counters.

Re: Sydenham Post Office
It's hard to say if it's a pattern as they must handle hundreds if not thousands of packets. I've had some go astray and I know for definite that packets which have been sent to me have not arrived. The last one sent to me and not received eventually turned up and was returned to sender as "not collected" by Forest Hill. You can bet your bottom dollar that I'd have collected it if I'd known it was there and this despite myself and the sender's enquiries, claim forms etc.
I stopped sending anything important via the post office unless paying through the teeth for Special Delivery. I can only speak from my own experience - others might have had a perfect service.
