Is anyone else in the area having "issues" with orange broadband?? - I have had my modem for 3 weeks and been able to surf for 3 days - I have been on the phone to the customer services team on numerous occasions and they are saying there is an issue at the local exchange (Sydenham exchange Crystal palace park road I'm guessing) - has anyone else had issues or heard of problems at this exchange or are they just fobbing me off - I might have to start popping to the dolphin for my dinner drink and internet soon if they don't sort something out.
Cheers

Re: ORANGE BROADBAND??
Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange or what ever they call themselves this week have probably the worst customer service you can get. They use any excuse do not get back to you and are absolutely hopeless. In the last few months I know 3 people who have switched from them, purely because of their appalling aftercare service. My advice to you is if you are out of contract with them is to switch (migrate) to another ISP. There are also some good offers aboutgoonerchamp wrote:Is anyone else in the area having "issues" with orange broadband?? - I have had my modem for 3 weeks and been able to surf for 3 days - I have been on the phone to the customer services team on numerous occasions and they are saying there is an issue at the local exchange (Sydenham exchange Crystal palace park road I'm guessing) - has anyone else had issues or heard of problems at this exchange or are they just fobbing me off - I might have to start popping to the dolphin for my dinner drink and internet soon if they don't sort something out.

I have about 100 business clients covering most of the major broadband ISPs. Sadly they ring me when they can't get mail, webpages or anything sensible from customer service.
Freeserve/Wannadoo/Orange has displaced BT Openwound as the ISP of despair. Whether it is the change of management, brand or going LLU (putting their own equipment into BT exchanges) is the cause - I do no know. What I do know is that Freeserve has transformed itself from one of the best narrowband ISPs to one to avoid.
