What do the icons mean

Hi all, I am fairly new to the Sydenham Town Forum and I am puzzled by the different icons used in the forum pages; there are red text icons, scrolling red text icons plus same in blue. I notice if you hover the mouse pointer over them it says 'Unread Post' for all of them. Anyone know why they are different?

red just means that there are posts that you haven't read on that thread; blue means you've read all the posts on that thread.
Not sure what you mean by scrolling icons though!
