It was half way down Milkwood road Eagle, I lived opposite in my youth,I lived in a beautiful three storey Victorian house,They were a hundred years old when I lived there in the 60s,They should still be there, but for Lambeth council knocking them down for no other reason than they were old council stock and replaced them all with a very ugly industrial estate.
I wish we had taken photos of the house, the incredible high ceilings, architrave ,beautiful fire places, even the door handles had roses in them, the doors were the panel type,I bet the salvage people had a right old pick amongst the left overs.

Annie
I know what you mean. Our old family house was destroyed by Lewisham Council in 1974.
In 60's and 70's they did not like Victorian dwellings.
Now the ones remaining look much better than the 60's and 70's replacements

Go to
http://landmark.lambeth.gov.uk/places.asp

Type MILKWOOD into the Image Title box.

There's a couple of aerial views of the bakery.
