Trees in Fairlawn Park.

They seem to be chopping down all the trees on the pavements in Fairlawn Park.
This makes me sad.

Are they actually chopping them down or crowning them (reducing the height by a third)?

Some of those trees were seriously damaging the pavements, that might be the reason. But I agree some of them are lovely trees and it would be sad to lose them.

Well, I'm hoping that your theory is correct, but there would seem to be an empty space where one stood a couple of days ago...
