Basra row

Post by syd »

Morning

I would like to get Basra row sorted out. I am fed up of seeing bits of furniture and pallets from the newsagents all over the place.

What would be the best way to get this sorted out?

Thanks

It's the stretch near the unclean dry cleaners that for years had a mouldy wedding dress in the window, the equally shabby Chiropodists, Sydenham Beds (that seems to sell broken stuff for lots of money), Garam Masala, some empty shops and the shining light of 140 interiors.

You can report flytipping to the Love Lewisham web site - I have just looked up local reports and see there is one in Tannsfeld Road -

It is a public way of tracking reports of flytipping.

You can also come along to the Sydenham Assembly this evening and join in the discussion on improving the high street.

Yes, I have heard that, although I always use Aplanda who have been brilliant and incredibly helpful.

Next time you go in there you should mention that the way they look is turning away business (in my presentations on high streets the image of this dry cleaners often raises gasps!) and letting down the whole street. At the very least they need to clean their sign or paint their roller shutter!

It's worth getting a visual merchandising teams in to give workshops for shops and their windows. We are working in a few areas with a team that do this, and they are local.

Thanks Chris that is very useful.

The sydenham exhange seem to enjoy leaving their crap on the street. I imagine they would think differently if they lived here
