Any ideas?

I am trying to find out what type of plane this is, also where this photo was taken and if there would be a record of it and the men standing next to it.

One of the bombers in the 452nd bomb group by the looks of it. There are a few

Pretty sure thats a Lancaster. You would need to know the squadron number as there are some comprehensive squadron histories around. Good luck.

Yes a relative is in the photo,
The problem I have is I think the plane is a Lancaster (corrected the spelling) Bomber?
So although the name is on the website you provided, they are American planes.

Sorry Bradford Road but followed your link and although 452nd Bomb Group did indeed name one of their planes Four Winds, the group was US and the photo is of RAF crew. 452 flew B17s and that is a Lancaster.

It is a Lancaster. Without a date that the picture was taken or the military registration of the aircraft it will be quite hard to track down the precise aircraft, but if you post it here with as much detail as you can you may well strike it lucky: http://www.pprune.org/aviation-history-nostalgia-86/
