Tesco's has had to shut early tonight ( and the police are currently in attendance) after a boy suspected of shoplifiting was locked in the store and then escaped by breaking his way out of the front doors (and making a real mess of them!)
Without knowing any of the facts, how could pretty thick safety glass be broken without bringing out a concealed sledge hammer? Not doubting your report, just wondering how such an escape could have been achieved.
I got there just after it happened. That is what the people stood outside said. That the kid went crazy, smashing into the door until it broke and he ran off. No one tried to stop him, apparently.
