Erm...

You're not suggesting anyone eat the fungus you've photographed without identifying it correctly , are you ? Of course you're not :shock: They look like some kind of Aminata though i'm not wholly sure. The bracket or root fungus on that tree indicates the roots may infected , I cant see the species from your photo.

Foraging is great fun however, be cautious of what you eat.

And remember there's only 5 varieties that kill you :?

You're right - I didn't mean to suggest they were edible, but thanks for the identification. Harvesting wild fungi seems so cool to me, but I've never been brave enough.
