GLASS AND PICTURE FRAMING

Post by leenewham »

Since the glass place has shut down near Bell Green can anyone recommend somewhere to get glass for a panel above a door cut?

Also a decent picture framers?

Thanks.

Hiya,

There's a door shop just off Stanstead road (first right just after the bridge) or the one on Penge high street that spring to mind.

I recall there's a picture framers on the one way system in Crystal Palace.

I haven't used either of them but I hope these suggestions help.

At the end (going from Perry Vale) of Woolstone Road on the right, virtually at the corner with Catford Hill, there is Adroit Glass & Glazing (assuming still there) http://www.ilondon.co.uk/profile/654728 ... d-Glazing/ (Edited as I'm no good at map reading:) If you then turn left onto Catford Hill (heading towards Catford), there's Catford picture framing about 300 yds along on the right: http://www.catfordpictureframing.co.uk/contact-us

I haven't use those framing peeps. I have used one very close to the Catford Centre. It's an art shop in a walkway the next one along (going from Town Hall towards the hospital), again assuming it's still there. I've forgotten the name though.

I've used the one on the Crystal Palace triangle, opposite Sainsburys. Not cheap but a good job.
I tried to use Catford Framing but they were useless and I gave up.
The one in Penge has gone.
Sydenham needs its own picture framers.

There used to be a good one on the north-east side of the Kirkdale/Darmouth Road junction.
