Be as suspicious as you like. Was a truly unpleasant experience. The reason I joined the forum was to tell people what I thought because I was so surprised test everyone else was being so positive.

I must admit that Janis, who owns the salon, can seem a touch intimidating to the uninitiated. However she has whipped my skincare regime into shape and my skin is sparkling like never before.
It's great to have a high quality salon like this locally and I think prices are extremely reasonable for what you get.
And I think Janis is a pussycat really. Actually I could see her with a show on Channel 4 - one part Gok Wan to one part Kim & Aggy. "How Clean is Your Face?" perhaps?

I was recently recommended to Janis at JH Skincare.
This is just the type of beauty place we need in our area. How nice to have a mature person who is welcoming, hands-on, passionate about what she does, knowledgeable, honest, informative and very approachable. The whole experience from when I walked in the door was one of professionalism. I was hooked. It is a very calm, serene environment. There are no yelping 20-something-year-olds covered in fake town running around in scatty circles.
Keeley who works with Janis is young but equally professional.
I have had my first treatment which was for red vein removal on my face and because I knew I was in good hands I was very relaxed about it. The results are great - highly recommended. I am returning for a facial in a couple of weeks, a massage and a St Tropez spray tan in time for my easter holiday in Sri Lanka.
