Reading group in Sydenham

Post by jqz »

Yes, that old chestnut.

As far as I know there is quite a waiting list for reading group at bookshop, and cant make local group in Sydenham library as it clashes with my son's cubs.

Any other reading groups already going? Anyone interseted in starting one?

I'd definitely be up for that!

Anyone else?

Hi there - does anybody know a good reading group in Sydenham? Would love to join one, but work full time so need to find one that fits in the schedule! If not, does anyone fancy starting one up with me?

Kirkdale Bookshop have an open book group on 21st September - Freedom by Jonathan Franzen:

That might be a good place to find others people if you can't find an existing group and want to start a new one.

We started a book club via this forum a few months ago and it has worked really well. Unfortunately we're full up. We had a couple of people who we couldn't get in due to numbers - I'll try and contact them to see if they're interested and get them to post.

I couldn't get make the 21st September unfortunately! I'm going to keep my eye open for anything else that comes up though.

If you do know of anyone who fancies setting one up, then do send them my way! Or if you get any openings in your group, I'd be really interested.

Thanks
