Does anyone know if the Italian Restaurant Rafaele is closing down/moving or something?
I have just seen listing for it on a Property site.

It says its only been first listed recently on the 20th April.

Well I'm glad you are saying that they arent leaving the high street anyway.

That listing includes what look like very recent pictures of the exterior and interior of the restaurant. Odd if it's an old listing.

Yes, I 'm baffled too. I thought the original poster Ralf was originally referring to an ad thats been around for ages that has been discussed on this forum a few times before.

Having spoken to Raph (the owner of Trattoria, not the poster!) quite a few times in recent weeks and having designed new menus etc for them (well, my better half Ariana did, not me), plus helping them source the new posters they have put up inside, he didn't mention it.

To be honest, I have only been into this restaurant once - which was pleasant enough. But I do know a lot of the people on this forum rate it highly - so it would be a shame if it did go.

We moved to Sydenham last weekend and ended up at Trattoria Raffaele on Saturday night when we had a houseful of boxes and no food. I liked it a lot and have been enthusiastically recommending it to friends - I hope it doesn't go!

We've also moved here in the end of April...

Glad to know that the restaurant is good, as we are liking our Italian food and went by it a several times, looked at the menu, liked what's on it, but never got in

hi I've eaten here a few times and the food is fantastic. Rafi and Emily are so friendly and nice. We've also been there for christenings so ask them about private hire. I have yet to go there for dinner and a play which i've heard is good fun.
And they're very reasonable too.

Hi love-sydenham! Sorry, I've only just seen your reply. We're really enjoying Sydenham so far, although we're still to go back to Trattoria Raffaele. Must make another date there soon!
