Sir Willard White and Sylvia Kevorkian concert 9 June

Sexiest concert yet in the International Music Festival at St Barts this evening. Mozart! Don Giavanni!! La ci darem la mano duet!!! Phwoaaaar!!!! Hope the vicar wasn't listening (or indeed watching).

Sir Willard's majestic and dramatically highly charged singing - in the Schumann Four Hussar Songs and The Two Grenadiers and in Leporello's catalogue aria - dominated the evening. But Sylvia Kevorkian almost stole the show - a beautifully pure but warm and passionate soprano voice, wonderfully controlled, and striking Armenian (?) looks.

I thought the Rogers and Hammerstein stuff in the second half was a bit of an anti-climax. But then I'm a fearful snob.
